We'll cap off the year with a festive holiday celebration on Saturday at 6:30 PM. Come celebrate another great year of kendo with your fellow practitioners!
Regular practice schedule will resume in January 2024 (dates to be announced).

JJP September closure & temporary practice location
For the month of September JJP is closed for their annual maintenance. Our temporary practice location is St. Paul’s Bloor Street at 227 Bloor Street East, Saturdays ONLY:

Class Schedule:

10:00 AM – 11:30 AM: New Beginners (non-Bogu) & New to Bogu

11:30 AM – 1:00 PM: Advanced Bogu
Please note there will be no Tuesday or Thursday practice during September. Regular Tuesday & Saturday practice at JPP will resume in the month of October.
‼️ As always, please aim to arrive 30 minutes early to help with cleaning and to be changed and ready for practice on time.

Summer schedule
Below are updates to our schedule for the summer

First Sunday practice is Sunday, July 7th

Last Sunday practice will be Sunday, August 25
-
NO practice on August 4th during the Civic Holiday weekend.
Also, please note that the JJP will be closed for their annual maintenance in September, and we are currently exploring options for a temporary site for practices. More to come.

Holiday schedule
Below are updates to our schedule going into the holidays:

Last practice of 2023 will be Saturday, December 23th

First practice in the new year will be Tuesday, January 9th, 2024 (pending permit approval)
We are also planning a new years celebration Kagami Biraki, tentatively scheduled for Saturday January 13th, 2024.

Upcoming alternative location
We have tentatively secured a location for practice Saturday September 9th from 4pm - 6:30pm location as follows:
Armour Heights Community Centre (Just south of Hwy 401 & Avenue Road)
2140 Avenue Rd, North York, ON

The Centre has change rooms (no showers) and a parking lot south of the building [Full details]
Practice Schedule will be:
4:00-5:30 Beginners
5:30-6:30 Advance (and Beginners)

Tuesday Practices
We are still exploring options for Tuesday practices for the month of September.
Thursday Practices @ Glen Long Community Centre [Map]
Thursday practices will continue for Advanced Members from 7:30-9:00pm (September 7,14,21,28)
